Feed the Belly – Itsabelly Mom in the City Event
Posted in Chicagoland | No Comments »

Itsabelly LogoI am working to partner with Itsabelly, a Chicago baby planning service.  One of their programs is a series called Mom in the City – it is a series of meetings, whether with speakers, over dinner, etc., for expectant and new moms.  Their next event is Saturday, August 15th.  It is titled “A Healthy Belly Event.”  The author of Feed the Belly, Frances Largeman-Roth, RD, will be speaking about prenatal nutrition.  The even will include an interactive mini-class based on the book, a Q&A session with the author, and other nutrition and wellness topics of interest to expectant moms through Itsabelly’s local fitness and health partners.

Interested in registering?  Check out the event site here.  Registration for the event is $20.  The first five people to register are eligible for a free ticket! :)

NW Suburban Cloth Diapering Parents Meetup
Posted in Chicagoland | No Comments »

For anyone in the Chicagoland area, I am starting a Meetup group for cloth diapering parents.  The group is for all people who use cloth diapers or are interested in finding out more information about them.

As many of us know, the world of cloth diapering can be both fun and overwhelming. This Meetup group will serve as a meeting place for parents who use cloth diapers or are interested in finding out more – come to ask questions, share your knowledge, and find out about industry trends. I will be bringing different types of diapers to each meeting to answer questions and give information about each.

The main point of this group is support.  Whether you are already in the trenches or just starting out, it is always great to meet other parents who are using cloth to learn from each other (and just talk about life as a CD user!).

Interested?  You can find out more about the group at http://meetup.com/clothdiapering.  It would be great to see you there!
